V.D. PATIENTS.

KUMORS CORRECTED. Wellington, Dee. 20. Sis James Allen says that the statements about V.D. patients transferred to the camps are greatly exaggerated. Instead of 200, there are only 36, and the disease is not in an aggravated form as alleged. The Minister says none of the worst forms were encountered. The disease is easily cured when taken early, and modern methods have improved the treatment so that aggravated cases are seldom seen.' No patient is discharged from the New Zealand hospitals till cured. Of the 30, 25 lad recovered and U were convalescent. Five others who had influenza were left behind ill Otago. The Minister scouts the idea that some of the men were believed killed or missing because their parents were not informed of the facts.
