Julian have been for five years in Auroa in business, and made themselves very popular, having taken a keen interest in the welfare of the district. 3lr. IT. Buxton, who was the first speaker, referred to the many good qualities of Mr. and 31rs. Julian, and at' the same time the general regret of the district at their departure. Mr. Clarke, who spoke on behalf of the School Committee, referred to the great inteest and good work 3fr. Julian had done in school matters and how he had helped them in every possible way. 3fr. Pof|i'', as president of the Bowling Club, expressed their regret at losing a member like Mr. Julian, who had always been such a willing worker. Ha referred also to 3lr. and Mrs. Julian's kindly help in the Ladies' Sewing Guild. 3lr. R. Dunn also spoke of the valuable help giveh >n every shape and form by Vlr. and Mrs. Julian and expressed all good wishes for their future welfare Mr. Julian, who was greeted with, applause, feelingly thanked one and' all for their valuable presents and kind remarks and expressed his sorrow at leaving the district 31r Pickering supplied the music for the dance, while Mias Reno 3leCarty kindly played extras. The Auroa ladies provided a bountiful supper.
