At Opuriake yiards on Monday we held our usual sale. There was a good yarding of cattle, which sold at ruling rates. Fat cows sold at from £l2 10s to £l3, frosh-conditioned cows £lO 10s to £ll Wf>, forward cows £9 to £lO, store cows £8 to £8 18s, empty heifers £0 10s to £7 15s, yearling steers £7 fls to £7 15s, yearling heifers £4 to . £5.105, bulls £7 to £l4, springing heifers £l3. At Manaifi yards on Tuesday we had a full yarding of store cattle, which met with keen competition, and almost everything was sold at the hammer. Fat cows sold at from .£l3 to £l4; fresh conditioned cows £lO to £l2 10s; forward cows £9 to £9 15s; store cows £8 to £8 17i 8d; empty heifers £6 10s to £7 15s; yearling 'heifers £4 5s to £5 10s; springing heifers £l2 to £l4; bulls £8 lfls to £l3 15s; fat hoggets 37s 8d; ewes and lambs 32s fid; weaner pigs 7s fid to 12s. store pigs 26s to £1 7b. '
At Inglewootl yards, on Wednesday, there was a full yarding of cattle, which showed no improvement in price. We jauote: Ft and forward cows £lO to £l2 12s fid; store cows £7 10s to £8 17s fid; empty yearling heifer® £4 to £6 4s; yearling steers £5 to ''£7; shorn wethers 30s; shorn ewes 205; owes and lamiis £2 5s 3d; woolly wethers £2 Os fid; woolly i ewes £2; bulls £3 12s 8d to £lO 12s 6d; dairy cows £8 to £9 ss; heifers £7 to £9.
At Auroa yards, on Friday, we had a good yo-ding of store cattle. Prices were good, and, with a few exceptions, everything was sold. Fat cows £l2 10s to £l3 15s, fresh-conditioned Cows £lO to £ll 108, forward cows £9 to £8 18s, store cows. £7 10s to • £8 12s 6d, bulls £lO to £lO, springing heifers £9 10s "to £l2 10s.
