LIVE STOCK SALES. ADDINGTON. At the Addington market there were good entries in store sheep. The yarding -was of moderate dimensions. ' Tho bulk was composed of wethers and the general demand was good. Two and four-tooth ewes fetched to 28s 2d, smaller woolly ewes and lambs 20s Od all counted, 2-tooth wethers 20s 7d to 2fls 2d, 2 and 4-tooth wethers 24s 2d to 20s 7d, woolly to 29s 9d, small woolly merino wethers 20s Id to 25s lOd. The yarding of fat lambs was much smaller and a very good sale eventuated, prices hardening Is to Is 6d over lat» rates. Extra prime to 31s Id, prime 20s Od to-20a. lighter 21s Od to. 25s 9d. There was a rather larger yarding of fat sheep. The demand was poor and there was an approrjimate drop of Is fld to 2s per head. Woolly wethers 40s to 435, extra prime to 37s 3d, prime 31s tii 35s Bd, lighter 28s 4d to 29s Id, extra' prime ewes 37s to 39s Od prime 2fls lOd to 35s 3d, lighter 24s Id to 28s 4d. There was a large entry of fat cattle. The demand for steer and heifer beef was good; for other classes the market was slacker. Extra prime steers fetched to £25 17s 6d, prime £lB to £2l, ordinary to £lB, extra prime heifers to £lB, prime £l3 to £l7, ordinary £lO to £l2 10s, extra prime cows to £l9 10s, prime £l3 to £lO, ordinary £lO to £l2, There was a fair demand for venlers and best sorts made £0 lfls to £7 7s Od, smaller' £2 to £(!■.. There was a laTge entry of store cattle of very mixed quality and the demand was distinctly easier, passings being numerous. There was a good inquiry for good quality dairy cows, which made up to £ls, medium sorts £lO 14s, and old cows from £B.

On.Wednesday at Wcstfleld fat stock market beef was penned in large numbers and showed no improvement, best oxen selling at £2 12s per 1001b, others £2 7s to £2 Is, cow and heifer beef £2 5s to £2 10s. Steers sold at from £l3 to £2O 12s fid. Cows and heifers sold at from £0 to £lO 15s. Calves were penned in good average numbers.
