i BRITAIN'S MIGHT. HOLDING THE ALLIES TOGETHER, REVENTLOW'S DISTRESS, Amsterdam, August 25. Count Reventlow and the extreme annexationists have issued a manifesto warning Germans that Britain is their most dangerous enemy, because she is holding the Allies together. The manifesto, which appeals for the most ruthless use of every means of warfare against Britain, ij' signed by Professors Sehaefer, Dietrich, Haeschel, and other distinguished men of letters. WHEN HOSTILITIES CEASE. GERMANY'S SHIPPING TRADE. Copenhagen, August 25, Herr Heincker, of the North German Lloyd's, says Germany will be ready after the war for competition. Every ship lost has been replaced. The company has built four new passenger steamers named Zeppelin, Hindenburg, Kolumbus, and Muenchen, and intends to built a large number of 4000-tonners and send out a of new steamers rapidly. The submarines Deutschland and Bremen would not be used ill peace times, as they w:cre too costly. ON THE CARPET. NEGLIGENT GENERALS DISMISSED. Borne, August 25. General Ricdel and two colonels who were court-martiallcd for having been absent for forty-eight hours from Oorizia after the Italian attack began, owing to a pleasure excursion, have been dismissed from the army. LIEBKNECHT DEMONSTRATIONS. Berne, August 25. Demonstrations protesting against the increased sentence on Dr. Liebknecht occurred at Berlin and Ohemnitz. Rioting and shop-looting followed a Leipzig demonstration.
