(From Our Own Correspondent.) Inglevvood, Monday. There ivn? a good attendance at the annual meeting of the Ladies' Patriotic League on Friday, Mrs. J. W. Winficld presiding. Mrs. Evans, secretary, read the second annua! report, which must he considered most satisfactory. During the year £481) 4s Sd was collected, made lip as follows: Red Crosif Fund £273 Os Sd, socials £8") 4s Sd, leather waisteoasts £47 ss, daffodil evening £22 Ills fld, art uhion £ll 1 .'is, Naval Dependents £;)0 14s 7d, 3d per week collections £l4 Sd. The following committees were elected: Sewing, Mesdames .T. Allen, Crossman, Davis, Henderson, Hobbs, Ilornen Roberts, M. Sutherland, and Miss Johnston. Social: Mesdaines L. Allen, Dean, Davis, flow, Henry, Jaeoinb, de Launay, Messenger, and Winficld. Tied Cross Mart: Mesdames S. Allen, F. Brown, E. Buckley, Gow, J. Sutherland. Winfieid, ind Misses- Hamerton and Minchin. Sutherland (late chairwoman), Messrs Sutherland, Messenger, de Launay, Roberts, Stockman, and Miss Curd for assistance rendered during the year. I regret to have to report the <t?ath of Sergeant Ken. Curtis. Word was received a few day ago that he had been dangerously wounded, and a cable to his mother this afternoon brought the sad news that he Jias succumbed. Much sympathy is fell for the family in their sad bereavement.
