FIRES.
A BLAZE AT OTANE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Waipawa, Yesterday. A dwelling at Otane, owned by H. Powell, was totally destroyed by fire on Saturday night, as well as a metor-lorry owned by Phillips. Powell's insurance in the New Zealand Office was £750, but it is estimated that there is a loss of £2OOO above this, as the owner was carrying a large stock of timber, which was not insured. Phillips' lorry was insured for £OOOO in the Commercial Union.
