ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
POISON BY MISTAKE. By Telegraph—Press Association.,-' ' Gisborne, Last Night. - A Portuguese, named Nathaniel De Soma, about 50 years of age, was found in a (lying condition at Ngatapa yesterday morning, evidently having swallowed a dose of poison, presumably some disinfectant. Tho deceased kep'„ a boarding-house and dining-rooms for railway workers there, and was found at his residence as the men went over for breakfast, lying in a dying condition and groaning, apparently in the severest possible pain. The theory is that the poison was taken by mistake.
