FINAL FIGURES. A LIBERAL MAJORITY. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Sydney. June 24. With the final figures for Hume it is now possible to compile a complete list of the new Federal Parliament, subject to re-counts and petitions. The figures for the House of Representatives are as follows:--Liberals. Lahorites. New South Wales.... 15 12 Victoria ]2 ; ;> Queensland :\ j South Australia '. 3 4 Westralia ;>, •> Tasmania 2 3 Totals 7 S ~ For the Senate there are three Lib-e-ils each from New South Wales and Tasmania, and one from Victoria. All the i-'-st. are Lahorites. As each State returns six members to the Senate the figures are: Laborites 29, Liberals 7. South Australia is the only State that has completed its Senate count. Svmon (Independent) did not poll the required irmibev.of votes, and forfeits his deposit of £25. . Mr. Cook anticipates that he will complete his' Cabinet to-day. Sir Robert 15est lias declined a portfolio.
