COMPENSATION COURT.

A CORPORATION'S LIABILITY. Per Press Association. Wellington, June 23. The adjourned case in which John James Boyd claimed £2OOO from the City Corporation for alleged depreciation in claimants' property in Childers' Terrace as the result of alterations made to the roadway was before the Compensation Court to-day, Mr. Justice Sim presiding. The corporation's liability hinged on a legal point whether the roadway was a permanent thoroughfare within the meaning of the City Corporations Act, and counsel for claimant applied to have the case stated for the full court. The application was granted, and the ease was adjourned until August 4 until the full court's decision is given.
