STRANGE FLOTSAM. Per Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Strange flotsam occasionally coincs into the hands of the authorities, and among the latest is a package found floating in the harbour near the wool wharf. This contained one hundred small bottles of extracts of whisky, brandy, and rum, etc., and is in the hands of the Collector of Customs, awaiting an owner. A COURT MISTAKE. Gisborne, June 23. Judgment in the case Mackenzie and Johnstone (the latter clerk of the Magistrate's Court) v. Dr. Hallen and Mr. Finn, solicitor, for th" return of money paid out of court by r was given bv Mr Barton S.M., in favor of plaintiffs. Leave to appeal was refused.
