THE nmiSTCITURCTI AWATU). , Per Press Association. < Christehurch, .|un.! 22. < The award of the Court of Avbitrn- ] tion iu the dispute between the Christ- 1 church Journalists' Union and the ■ Christehurch newspaper companies was ' filed with the Clerk of Awards to-day. ] The chief portions are as follows:' ' Hours of work: (a) Reporters' hours of ' work shall he spread over a period of ■ not more than 12 consecutive hours (in- '■ eluding meal hours) in anv one period of 24 hours: (b) except iii special circumstances, a reporter shall not be ' brought back to work after hi* day's work is finished until after an interval ' of at least ten hours; (c) any time worked in excess of these hours shall be paid for within the next 11 daws, either in time oil', at the rate of one. hour and a-half for every hour worked, or in cash at the rate of is (id per hour.
