WHITE v. BLACK. By Cable —Press Association—Copyright. New York, May 16. At Oklahoma a negro was charged with attacking a white woman. He escaped, but armed whites sought to lynch him, when his friends resisted. A pitched battle followed. Two whites and one negro were badly wounded. Another negro was captured, and the mob was preparing to lynch him, but decided to hold him as a witness lagainsti the man who assaulted the woman.
