CANADA'S NAVY.

THE XAVAL BILL. THIRD READIXG CARRIED. By Cable —Press Association —Copyright. Ottawa; May IG. Sir Wilfrid Laurier asserted it was a mistake to think that the Borden policy was more acceptable to the Admiralty than that of the Liberals. The Admiralty always favored contributions, but Canadians did not desire this. The Australians had abandoned contributions, believing in the formation of a navy of their own, and Canada's attitude was similar. Sir Wilfrid Laurier denied that the Liberals' policy was one of separation. The gratitude they owed to the Empire for the present liberties they enjoyed prevented this. The House adopted the third reading of the Xavy Bill by 101 votes against 68.
