THE RAILWAY REVENUE.

Interviewed by ap po t reporter to-day as to the prospects of the railway revenue for Iln» liiwncial year just closed, the Minister of Railways (the Ron. XV H. Merries) said the policy of the department was to make 3%' per cent, on the capital expenditure, and he. thought the net revenue would provide the 'required amount. The actual figures were not yet available.
