LABOR DISPUTE SETTLED. By Telegraph-Press Association. . Invercargill, Last Night. The Conciliation Commissioner, Mr. Triggs, to-day heard a dispute between the Otago and Southland Cheese Factory Managers' Union and the employers, and after a lengthy sitting an agreement was arrived at. The principal clauses relating to classification and salaries are as follow:—The classification of cheese factories shall be according to the annual output on the 31st August, as follows: — (a) First-class, over 500 tons; (b) sec-ond-class, 401 to .">OO tons; (e) thirdclass, 301 to 400 tons; (d) fourth-class, 2">l to 300 tons; (e) tifill-class, 201 to 250 tons; (f) sixth-class, 151 to 200; (g) seventh-class, 12(i to 150 tons; (h) eighth-class, 101 to 125 tons; (i) ninthclass. 70 to 100 tons; til tenth-class. 51 to 75 tons; (k) eleventh-class, 31 to 50 tons; (I) twelfth-class. 30 tons and under. Salaries.—The mininu'in annual salary to be oaid to managers shall he accordinir to the class of his factor-,- as follows:—First-class, £350: second, £325; third, £275: fourth. £250: fifth. £>2s; sixth. £200; seventh, £180; eighth, £170; ninth. £100; tenth. £150: eleventh. £3 os per week: twelfth. £3 p»r week, Th" Court's preference clause was adopted. The agreement will come into force on the Ist of September next, and I continue until the 31st August, 101(1.
