Wellington, Last '-fright. j.lie Minister of Finance presented to Parliament to-day an interim retuVu showing the receipts and expenditure ' the six months ended September 30,1912. The receipts compared with those-for the same six months of the previous year, were as follows RECEIPTS.
Totals 4,982,890 4,812,945 Total net increase, £ 170,(ten. EXPENDITURE. The expenditure was as follows (the first three items being permanent appropriations) :

Totals 2,921,346 2,704,992 A sum of £50,000 has been transferred to the Public Works Fund, and the balance at the end of September was £939,078. compared with £920,239 at the end of the same period last year.
