NEW PLYMOUTH PETITIONS. By Telegrapli—-Own Correspondent. Wellington, Last Night. The Lands Committee to-day recommended to the Government for favorable consideration the petition of Hy. Yoght, of New Plymouth, asking for compensation for loss sustained through -the noncompletion of a contract by the Advances to Settlers Department. George S. Sole, of New Plymouth, who petitioned Parliament for the issue of further scrip, in place of scrip previously issued and lQst (or money value of the same) for military Services rendered, has obtained a favorable recommendation from the M to Z Petitions Committee.
