THE GLEN MORN TRAGEDY.

EVIDENCE AT THE INQUEST. By Cable —Press Association—Copyright. Received 27, 9.10 p.m. Sydney, October 27. Mrs. Cover, who was shot on the 23rd at Glen Morn, near Tamworth, by Lawrence Lawless, a farm laborer, has three bullet wounds, and one of her eyes is destroyed. At the inquest on Una, the arresting constable deposed that Lawless gave no reason for the deed. He said: "Poor little Una. I must have, been mad. I wish I were dead. I don't want the doctor to save ine to be hanged." Deceased's father stated that Lawless was formerly a regular visitor to his home, but last year he was not friendly.

After shooting Mrs. Cover and her daughter Una, Lawless burned Cover's house, and the body of the daughter was incinerated. Lawless subsequently shot himself in the chest. It was not thought that the wound was dangerous.
