Play was slow. Peglcr gave another chance to Emery in the slips off Minnett, but he missed. At 10 a similar stroke to Kelleway was held. Campbell joined Strieker, and together they established a last wicket record for the tour, 77. The first wicket score of 70 by Pearse and Commaille was also a record, each previously stand' ing at 53. Both records were extremely flukey. Campbell gave three chances before iie was given out, two of them off Minnett, and Strieker gave one when in the thirties. At ii McElhone caught Campbell at cover point off Kelleway. The innings lasted 347 minutes, Strieker taking l.jil minutes to compile his 82. A iii- luncheon, Rardsley and Tmmper opened for Now South Wales, and had scored 40 in 23 minutes, when Sinclair bowled Trumper off liis pads for 15. Kelleway joined Bardsky. Play was slow, the century appearing in 73 minutes. Schwarz kept the googlie bowlers until the score had reached 114, using Sinclair, Pearse, Pegler,. and Nourse. Then lie went on himself. Bardsley had si sore hand as the result of a blow received in the Melbourne match, and at 78, the bat slipped out of his hands, and was hurled 20 yards. The ball took the bails. Faulk-] ner bowled Kelleway in the next over. The partnership had yielded 119, Bardsley having hit seven fours and Kelleway eight. McElhone was unable to! play Faulkner's googlies, and was caught at mid-on after poking a few overs. The same bowler had Collins beaten all the time until caught by Snooke in the slips. Faulkner's analysis here was six overs, three wickets, eight runs. The second century came up in 104 minutes. Macartney was again brilliant, and scored 50 in 45 minutes. Scores:

The ninth found of the Auckland Cricket Association's matches was commenced on Saturday, on wickets which were very bad, the result of the heavy rain which fell on Friday night and Saturday morning. The senior grade results are as follow: t Grafton v. North Shore: Grafton, first innings, 92 (batted three short), E. McCormick 37 (not out), R. Mason 30. Sadden took four wickets for 29, and A. M. Hmvdcn three for 32. Grafton, sec»nd innings, Five for one wicket. North Shore, first innings, 42. Mason took five wickets for 17, and Harvie three for 15. University v. Eden: University, first innings, GO* (F. Taylor 24, H. S. Dettman 20). U. Cummiiigs took five wickets for 22, and F. Taylor four for 31. Eden, first innings, 123 for five wickets (Brooke-Smith 00). Christchurcli, Monday. | The first grade matches were played in dull weather, which turned to heavy rain soon after four o'clock, when play was stopped for the day. Sydenham maintained their lead over St. Albans, and won on the first innings. l This prac-' tically assures them of the champion-! ship tor the season. In the RieeartonWest Christchurcli match, the last-men-l tioned were batting when stumps were 1 drawn for the day. Reese was not out' with a magnificently played 88, and Lusk had 53 to his credit, the total being 203 for seven wickets, against Riccarton's 322. Linwood's first innings against East Christchurcli (the lastmentioned's score being 133) closed' for U53 (Thomas 48, A. E. Ridley 47). East Christchurcli in their second innings! have lost four wickets for 84 (W. Carlton 41 not out).
Dunedin, Monday. The senior cricket matches were continued on Saturday afternoon in fine weather, with the following results: —' Carisbrook B completed their first innings for 35C (Austin 100), and Carisbrook A compiled 2315 for three wickets (Hopkins 10,5 not out). In the Dunedin v. Albion match, the latter scored 336 in the first innings, while 'Dunedin made 145 (first innings) and 289 for seven wickets (Condliffe 101 not out). Albion secured a two-point win. Opoho made 88 and 229, and Grange 172 and 105, Opoho thus securing a four-point win.
NORTH TARANAKI ASSOCIATION. A special meeting of the North Taranaki Cricket Association will lie held on Friday evening next, when an incident which occurred during the representative (cam's tour during the Christmas and New Year holidays will again lie discussed. A protest concerning the recent New Plymouth v. Inglewood junior match will be considered. I
