THE GALE ELSEWHERE
FURTHER REPORTS FROM WELLINGTON. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Monday. Considerable damage was done to the Vacuum Oil Company's new warehouse on the Hutt road beyond Thomdon Esplanade by Saturday night's flood. Thousands of ting of kerosene will have to be moved out of the building in order that they may be dried. The company estimates its loss at over £IOOO. DAMAGE AT NELSON. Nelson, Monday. The drought has broken, and steady rain fell on Friday, which was followed by a fierece gale. On Saturday tropical showers fell. One or two sheds, some telegraph poleß, and trees were blown down.
