Kirkpatrick (Agent-General for South Australia), and Sir R. Beachcroft (chairman of the London County Council) spoke. Mrs. Kirkpatrick and her daughters were present. Sir G. Reid telegraphed: "If as ysn grow older you do not find room in Britain, there will always be a welcome in Australia, the land of sunbeams and prosperity."
