Mr. Burns, President of the Local Government Board, intends to issue an order on the lines of the Departmental Committee's recommendation, issued yesterday, in favor of, inter alia, revising the distinction between able-bsdied and non-able-bodied paupers, and empowering guardians to give outdoor relief, subject to the performance of certain tasks and work.
