' Onehunga, Thursday.—Arrived, at 11.20 , a.m., Pukaki, from New Plymouth. Auckland, Thursday.—Arrived, at 2 p.m., Spithead, from San Francisco, via Apia, with 'Frisco mail. THE RARAWA. Owing to being unable to cross the Manukau bar at the usual time on Wednesday owing to low tide, the Rarawa did not arrive in port till about 8 o'clock yesterday morning. She brought 147 tons of cargo, including 48 tons of manure, 11 tons of cement, 7 tons of sugar, I 12 tons of flour, and 250 cases of fruit, in addition to 4000 ft of timber.
THE ROSAMOND. The Rosamond arrived early yesterday morning from Wellington, Picton and Nelson with 200 tons of general cargo, including 286 sacks of manure, 342 sacks of potatoes, 625 sacks of chaff, 60 bags of salt, and 144 ironbark poles for the Telegraph Department. She sailed at noon for Onehunga and returns to-morrow. THE TAVIUNI. The Taviuni has been delayed in the South and is not now expected till tomorrow morning. The New Zealand training ship Amokura left Bluff last week for the outlying islands, and will be away for about four weeks. She will visit the Auckland Islands first and then go on to the Campbell Islands, the Antipodes, and the Bounties, in that order. She is taking provisions in case it is necessary to replenish the depots for castaways which the Government has established on the principal islands, and Captain Hooper has also been instructed ttf repair any of the huts and erect new finger posts to replace those which have become decayed. The Amokura will return to Wellington at the | end of this month or the beginning of
next, and after a short stay there she will leave for the Kermadecs, where she will search for castaways, and, if necessary, replenish the food depots.
