EVEN BOYS " GO OUT." By Cable—Press Association —Copyright. Melbourne, October 29. The plasterers' strike continues, and a large number of men are affected. It is reported that twenty-five masters are paying the higher wages demanded. The boys who sweep the city streets struck and demanded an increase of sixpence per day. As a result of the recent strike of ride range markers, the Minister of Defence has issued a regulation that no member of the naval or military forces shall be required to do work or act in place of civilians who refuse work because of a dispute about wages, hours, or conditions of labor until the 'matter has been referred to the Minister and his consent to do such work obtained. EXPRESSMEN OX STRIKE. Received 30. 5.5 p.m. New York, October 30. * The expressmen's strike at Long Island is spreading. Further rioting has occurred. The strikers attacked the strikebreakers.
