THE KENNEL.

NEW ZEALAND CLUB. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Kennel Club was held to-day, Mr. Paul HunWr, of Porangahau (president), occupying the chair. The balance-sheet, which showed an excess of receipts over expenditure of £36, was adopted, Ihe election of officers resulted as follows: president, Mr. Paul Hunter; executive committee, Messrs. W. Janson (Wellington), W. Ryan (Auckland), F. E. Watson and (Richmond (Canterbury); auditors, H. Kember and Soli. Mr. Janson, who formerly held the office of treasurer, refused re-election, and the offices were therefore combined. The secretary's salary was fixed at £3O. The Dunedin Fanciers' Club moved to make the registration fee of dogs sixpence instead of one shilling. This lapsed for want of a seconder. A further remit from Dunedin asked that the clause in the executive rule pro viding that each delegate to the executive of the New Zealand Kennel Glulb should be a resident of the town or district wherein the club he represents is situated, be deleted. After some discussion this was lost. A third Dunedin remit sought to provide that no certificate shall be awarded by the New Zealand Kennel Club unless a dog shall have won at least one challenge certificate in each island.—This lapsed for want of a seconder. The Nelson Kennel Club was granted affiliation.
