MISSIONARY CONFERENCE
THE KING'S APPRECIATION. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, June 15. The King in a message to the Missionary Conference expressed gratification at the fraternal co-operation of the churches and societies of the United States and the Continent with those of the Empire. He appreciates the supreme importance of this work as cementing international frieirtlship, the cause of peace, and the well-being of mankind. When the King's message was read the audience of 5200 rose and cheered, and sang the National Anthem. WORK OF THE FUTURE. NEW OR OLD TERRITORY. Received June 16, 9.50 p.m. London, June 16. The Missionary Conference discussed the question as to whether the church should go to practically unoccupied fields, or first enlarge the activities where missionaries are already working; the idative importance of conversion of individ uals compared to bringing communities under Christian influence; and the desirability of educating native evangelists; and the desirability of co-operat-ing with the different missionary organisations.
