AMUSEMENTS.

HEWITT PICTURES. In spite of the bad weather, the crowd that flocked into the Theatre Royal last night bears striking proof as to the popularity of the current programme. As on the previous evening, "Briton v. Boer" and "The Jockey" found most favor in the dramatic studies, and were roundly applauded. "Panther Hunting" ia ia. beautifully-colored sporting picture, and shows in a remarkably clear manner the powerful heast in the trap. The "Dunlop Road Race" gives an idea of the experiences of the competitors and country passed en route. The "star" comic is highly amusing, and a great contrast to the powerful dramas. The present programme will be repeated tonight. There will lie a change of programme on Thursday.
