THE CYCLING DISQUALIFICATIONS,
Bv Telegraph.— Press.- Association Christchurch, Saturday. The Councir of the League of New Zealand Wheelmen last night heard the appeals of J. Amst and McTeague against the disqualifications imposed by the North Canterbury centre in connection with the Tiniaru-Christchureh road race. The appeals in both cases were dismissed. IMMIGRANTS. Wellington, Last XigM. The s.s., famui, which arrived at Wellington from London yesterday afternoon brought three saloon passengers °0 second-class, and 104 in the third-dies. Ihe number of assisted immigrants is 3.) (six men, 21 women, ami 12 children). Of these 15 adults and 12 children were nominated by relatives. The adults include 10 domestics, one farmer, one dairy farmer, one farm laborer, and f- : x wives.
