Canterbury light-weights 3%d, -North Island 3%d; heavy-weights, Canterbury :iy a d, North Island 3%d. Lamb —The. market is steady with very good demand: Canterbury s>/ t d, other than Canterbury 5%d. The beef market is quiet; New Zealand hindquarters 3'/.d lorcqiiarters 2'/ 2 d. Supplies of Hirer" J late are heavy. Butter.—The' market is firm. Owin» to supplies being reduced, high prices are ruling. These circumstances restrict business and encourage the use of substitutes. This season's New Zealand manufacture 1235. Danish 1295, Siberian 113s, Argentine 120s. Cheese. The market is quiet but steady. Canadian colored makes 635, Hemp. -- Tin. market is somewhat steadier, but the demand is principally speculative, flood fair grade on the spot £2O. fair £27 10s, fair current Manila £2O; January and March shipments, good fair grade £27 Ids, fair C2(l lfls, fair current Manila £2o.'

Following are current quotations for kauri gum: Ordinary to fair three-quarter scraped 170b, 'fair half-scraped 10.35, brown fair half to three-i|Uarter scraped 02s, brown pickings common to good 50s, bush fair to good pale and amber scraped 1355.
