PEE PEESS ASSOCIATION. Blenheim, December 29. A boating fatality occurred at Waikawn, near Picton, to-day, iu which either thrco or four Maori girls were drowned. The first report stated thnt the nnmbor was four, but the second said it was three. The details are meagre.

Archibald Rutherford, aged 67 years, an old settler in the Kaikorai district, had a fainting lit while ploughing, but recovored and persisted in continuing his work. Just before knocking off lie had another seizure and died.
