THE WAIKARE MYSTERY

PEE PRESS ASSOCIATION. Dunedin, December 29 An inquest was hold to-day on the body found at Waikare ou Thursday. The police have, so far, been unable to obtain any clue to the identity of the man. Medical evidence was to the effect that the man was from 40 to 45 years of age. Unit tlie body was well nourished, but very decomposed, and that the wound in tho throat might have been self-iudieted. No one is known to have disappeared. The jury returned a verdict, by the Coroner's direction, that deceased had committed suicido. No weapon was, however, found anywhero in the vicinity.
