CHARGE OF CHILD MURDER.
A MAORI COMMITTED FOE TRIAL. JSBIJ IWHSS ASSOCIATION.. Gisiiohnk, December 20. The inquest was continued at Port Awanui to-day concerning I lie death of an infant found in tlie Waiapu river. Malum 1 evidence showed that the child had breathed al'lcv buHli, and tlu- verdict was that Matirmiai'oa was the niol l(er. of the child, (lml it was horn alive, ami met its death by foul 1.1.1 V.
A charge of child murder was then proceeded will., evidence being given connecting accused with the ownership of the skirt around the child, and the kit in which the body vres found, also medical and other evidence supporting the nllfgaliou that she was the mother. Accused, who is the another of 11 children, was comroittechfor trial, bail being refused, ,j^
