Air l'itt moved that the Council place oil recosd its regret at the death of Mr O'Meara and appreciation of the services rendered as a muutlwr and sympathy to the willow awl family of deceased. Hon. li. FELDWICIv (Otago) seconded. eulogising the deceased meuihcr, and said that genuine sorrow was felt for the loss sustained by the Legislature. Hoi;. W. C. SMITH (iiawke's hay) spoke ii. a similar strain. The motion was curried, an,i on the motion of the Attorney-General lira Council at once adjourned till the following day us a token of respect to tbu memory of the (kiceased member.
