TARASAKI GUARDS, ANNUAL MBEIINU. After the Battalion Parade on Tuesday evening the Taranaki Guards hdd their annual general meeting. Captain Cook was in the chair and gave a short address, explaining several matters in connection with the Compmy. Ha stated that at tbe end of the volunteer yeir the Company was up to its full strength which was a very satisfactory state of things, The bilancesheet was re id and adopted, showing the Company to be in a very sound financial condition, being a credit balance of .£lO after the full dress scarlet uniforms were paid for. It was decided to abolish the members subscription and to order overcoats as soon as passible. Tne following committees were elected General, Col.Sergt. Mills, Corporals Oliver and Blanchard, Privates Bjoq and Hopkins (with the officers and secretary ex officio), Shooting, Lieutenants Holmes and Messenger, Sergt. Short, Corporal Oliver, Privates PhiloSt and Hartnell, and P. Griifi hs (sscrotir>). Sergeant White re-eiec ed hon. seqie'ary. Lieut. Me&euger made a few remu-ks re shooting, stating that Pt.
