THE SEDDON TESTIMONIAL.
We understand that the amount forwarded from Tennaki for the testimonial to Mr Seddon was some £3O, after paying all expeoses. In connection aith the mat'er the Town Clerk (Mr F. T. Bdlringer) received the following telegram on Wrdncsday: -"On the hour of my departure I take the opportunity t.f thanking you very sincarely for the services so cheerfully rendered in promoting th# testimonial, Th* preseutation the other night in Cnristcharch is an epoch uuequalled in my public career, and the gojd feeling expressed will cheer me on, and I trust that on my return ycu will all feel satisfied that I havA rendered my very best services to the colony and Empire. Goodbye. Eia Ora. ~R. J. SsDnoN." '
