AGAIN DISOUSSKD BY THE OOUUTY COUNCIL. A PROTEST TO THE MINISTMt. At Monday's meeting of the County Council the question of the Henui bridge came up for consideration. The Chief Engineer of the Roads Department, Wellington, wro e asking if the Council was prepared to eentributo towards the cost of the Henui bridge, and sta-ing that there did not app-ar to be any doubt that the Council was in equity liable for a contribution. , The Chairman stated that a reply had been sent to the effect that obj«c'.ions were being drawu out agnnet the p-oposil. This pretest it ws* intended o forward to the Minister for Publio Works. Later on the objections were read to she Council.
