wakaiho on Tuesday, the majority being calves, for which bidding was brisker than the previous fortnight, and nearly every line was sold at the h-mmer. Calves made LI 5s to U 14s 60,18 to 20 months heifrrs L2 12s 6d, at era L 3 4s, mixed yea-lings L2, heifers in calf 1 3 14s to L3l7s 6d, springers hi 10s to L 5, store cows L 3 to 14 16s, fat cows L 4 5s toLS Is. Sheep—Cull lambs 2s lOd.
At Stratford on Thursday I held a cleiriog sale on account of Messrs Moatgomerie Brothers, who have sold their farm. The cows, of which there were about 100 in the herd, were su excellent lot being all young and comprising a good aumrer of Jerseys. Bidding was very keen throughout the sale and excellent piices were realised. Cows in milk male L 6 to Ll2 15s, the Htter being for a prize Holstein. half to three-quarter-bred Jerseys 18 to Ll2, pedigree do Lll to LIS, pedigree bulls L 9 to LlO 10s; he ivy trap horse L 26, light harness mare L2B; sows with litters L2 lis to L 3.

Calves made LI to LI 10s 6d, yeerlings L2 to L2 ss, 15 to 20-months L2 lis to L 3 2s, store cows L 3 to L 4, fat cows L 4 12s 6d. springers L 4 5s to L 6.
HUCKLAND AND SONS' WEEKLY AUCTION REPORT. (Special to News,) Auckland, March 21. Messrs Buckland and Sons report:— Hoises of a good class sold freely, at an advance in price. Aged and medium d'aughts made L2O to L 27, express horses 1,14 to L2O, good harness L 9 to Ll3, hacks etc., at last week's prices. Cattle were in short supply. Beef improved 2s per lOOlbs, steers snd heifers making 21s to 235, cows 17s to 19s. Dairy cows made L 3 10s to LB. Btores were at late values. Sheep were in average supply. Wethers brought 6s te 12s 3d, ewes 6s 6d to 12s 3d, fat lambs 8s to lis Kgs showed a lower tendency. Porkers made 80s to 30s.
