The University boat race was rowed in heavy min, but the wator was smooth.
Cambridge won the toss and selected tbe Surrey and held the lead throughout. Oxford spurted at Crabtree, but were three Un»ths behind at H'immersmiih, From this point the race degenerated intu a procession the •losers being rowed out. Time, 19min, 8«C
