BRITAIN AND GERMANY.
PUB PBBSS ASSOOIATIOV. Nelson, January 18. A monster open air meeting was held to-night for the purpose of endorsing the resolution passed by the City Council. The speakers inoluded the Mayor and two ex-Mayors, and much indignation was exp l eased in connection with what has appeared in the Gorman paper?. The resolution of the Oouncil was endorsed, and cheers were given for the KLinc, the Queen, and the Premier of New Zealand, the National Anthem being sung and great en'husiasm shown.
