THE AUSTRALIAN BLONDIN.
Thkbe was a hrge crowd in ' tbe Recreation Grounds on Thursday evening to witness the performance of Alexander on the high wire and trapeze. The performer exhibited considerable skill, and went through his programme with the greatest ease and confidence. Although Alexander offered to carry any boy across the wire, no response waa made, and a dummy was taken instead. Both on the wire and trapeze this clever per former is equally at borne, and the daring and skill shown amazed many of the spectators. Walking and riding on the wire, both backwards and forwards, walking-blindfolded, and with feet enc4sed in baskets, sitting on a chair and other feats of balancing, are all executed neatly and cleverly. The performance will be repeat d this evening and again on Saturday night, and those who have not seen it should do so.
