Methuen captured 300 vehicles, 15,000 cattle, and 60,000 sheep. Dr. Leyds, Weraele, Fischer and Wolmarans on Tuesday appealed at the Hague for arbitration of the disputes leading to the war, and adding that Great Britain had violated the rules of warfare. Wellington, September 13, The Premier has received a letter from Nursing Sister Nellie Redstone; who left New Zealand to serve in tbe South African military hospitals, stating that she bad th» honour of bring one of fix nurses selected for presentation to King Edward for a war medal. After the medals had been presented the King sent for Sister Crow and the writer, and the King and Queen bad ° long conversation wit'ilhem. Nurse Redstone is returning to South Africa shortly from England.
