ANNUA.L MEETING. FSB PRESS SBBOGIATIOH. Wellington, August 26. At the annual meeting of the N.Z. Institute of Journalists, held to-day, it was deotded that the headquarters c{ th» -Institute for the year should be at Dunedin. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, H. Cohen (Dunedin), vice presidents, Gresley Lukin (Wellington). Triges (Obrhtchnrch, and A. Reid (Auckland),! geniral secretary, E. Hine (Dunedin),] treasurer, T.Walker (Dunedin), auditor, J. Hutchison (Dunedin). A resolution was passed in favour of the Institute formukting rome scheme by which a benefit fund might be established. It was also resolved that hi is seteeatary to the welfare, if not to the very existence, of the Institute if it is to be of real valus to working journalists of the colony, cot being employers, that st- ps be at once taken to procure registration under the la<?us'.rial, Conciliation, and Arbitration Act.
