WESLEYAN SUNDAY SCHOOL ANNIVERSARY.
anniversary tea and public meeting in connection with the Whiteley Memorial Church takes place this evening and promises to be a most successful and highly interesting affair. In these days of secular education Sunday school work is of a national importance, and in many cases is the only religious training many of our young people receive. A.U well wishers of the young should give the movement every support and by their presence on these occasions assist those whose self denying labours are so praiseworthy. This evening in addition to a large number of rewards for attendance and diligence, four pupils receive medals for specia\ a presentation will also b,e made to an old and highly valued member of the Wesleyan Church. Addresses will be given by the Revs. Serpell, Cannell, and other leading members of the church and gohool. Musical items of special merit will also be given by the, Sunday school scholars, j The chaiif. will be taken by Mr J. I Hawken,of Fitzroy.
