(PBB PRESS ASSOOIA.TIWT. Auckland, March 15. Reed, one of tbo survivors of the boating faUlity, states that the pirty bud boon drinking aboot tbe town. When they w«ro going off to the yacht a large wave came through the railway wharf causing the dingy to roll. Thw threw Mary Campbell on to Pert and the boat capsized. Baod is a good swimmer, and the woman Mills could al-o swim, but the others wore unable. When the dingy overturned Mille sezed Reed, the woman Campbell grabbed Mills, and Pert took hold of Campbtsll. All sank, aod on coming; to the surface Raed loosened his hold of the girl. The others then got to the dingy, which had sunk. Reed swam to the scow Flora to try and get help aod 'old Mills to swim for the shore, hui" *h<i being hampered with clothing was unable to dothis. Rood says he knowa uo mare, Wangasdi, March 15. A young man named Daniel Robertson died in the Hospital this morning, '•be re«ult of a fall from a horse in Miin-streot last evening. Whilst galloping the saddle twisted and thevictim was thrown on bis head auk never regainc d consciousness.
