THE SHARP-RAFALEWSKI CONCERT COMPANY.

The above Company, which opens in the Theatre Royal on Wednesday evening, comes to us with the best of credentials from wherever they have performed, each report vieisg with the others in speaking in the highest terms of the ability of the performers comprising the small but talented coterie i of artist?. Speaking of the first performance in the Auckland Choral Hall, the N.Z. Herald, in a report occupying nearly half a column, siys: " Miss Lili Sharp has a rich, flexible soprano voice of great range and surprising loveliness, and her methods go far to enhance the exquisite quality of her strong but mellow voice. Especially cleor and musical are her upper notes, which ring true and musical, and are not lacking in that power and grace which proclaim the true artist. . . , List nights

audience greeted the young cantatrice with plaudits, and thereafter quickly and constantly showed their appreciation by the bestowal of unstinted applause. Her first contribution, Bellini's ' Qui la Voco,' displayed to the full her wonderful powers. .... Later a still greater measure of success awaited her, when she was accorded an imperative recall for her exquisite and sympathetic interpretation of Pinsuti's "Sweetly Sleep," giving in response "Poor Wanderiag Oae," and as the audience were not to be denied, a quaint and difficult " Laughing Soog " by Auberfc. Mr. Rafalewski was also most successful in gaining ths highest place in audience's esteem, and as a pianist displayed notible ability. His firm touch, complete control over the instrument, and marvellous dexterity of fingering ivere sufficiently in evidence from the first, and his versatility was more than amply demonstrated by the varied numbers he performed. His talent as a pianist was all but equalled by his skill as a violinist.
