George Sumpter, an old Otago resident, died on Sunday night. A commission appointed by the Imperial Post Office reports favourably of the adoption of wireless telegraphy. Two trains cellided near Frankfort. The concussion exploded the ga3 reservoir under one of the carriages, firing the compartment. Eight persons were charred to death and thirty injured. • The English yacht Adrianno has arrived at Sydney after a cruise in the south Seas. She participates in the Commonwealth celebrations.
