VICTORIAN ELECTIONS.

[MB PBBSa ASSOCIATION.] (Reoeived 2, 1.1 a.m.) Melbodrkr, November 1. The elections for the Assembly took place to-day, but were very quiet. The latest returns, though some are incomplete, indicate 51 Oppositionists and 44 Ministerialists returned. Prendergast, a labour candidate, defeated Watt, Postmaster-General. Higgins, a strong anti-Federalist, was defeated at Geelong, and Sir Bryan O'Laughlin at Port Fairy. I All Liberals supporting Sir George Turner were returned. I The Tories lost four seats.
