PEB PRESS ASSOCIATION. Dunedin, October 16. Wm. Morgan, one of the crew of the Central Electric dredge, was drowned »-day. Four of the crew were trying ;o put a line across the Molyneux, at she mouth of Kawarau. Tnree were rowing while Morgan was paying out the line. The boat could not stem the ;urrent and was carried down the stream, Morgan's leg was caught in the line, and he was carried overboard. He held on to the boat for some time, but the otherscould notmaka headway torelease him. The boat got broadside on, the oars were lost, and the owf c nearly sack, when a line from the shore, thrown from another dredge, enabled those on board to reach the bank. On winding up the line, Morgan's body was found entanged in it It is believed his people live at Cheviot.
