THE AUCKLAND RAILWAY LEAGUES.
(PUB PBESS ASSOCIATION.) Auckland, October 10. The Main Trunk Railway League met to-day to consider the advisability of amalgamating with the North Auckland Railway League. It was resolved not to amalgamate, as the funds of the Main Trunk League had been subscribed specifically to agitate for an Auckland to Wellington railway connection, and could not be expended for any other purpose. The members, however, declared their intention of strengthening the North Auckland | League by joining individually.
